2022 Gravenhurst Post Race Report
From all of the staff at MultiSport Canada, we were so happy to welcome back a full house for the 2022 Gravenhurst Triathlon. The weekend started with great weather on Saturday, once the rain had passed on Sunday, we wrapped up the event under clear skies.
Thanks so much to everyone who participated and made the weekend a success. We saw a mixture of veterans and first-timers alike challenging themselves to “Jump-Swim-Bike-Run”. We also saw some strong competition in the International Distance Duathlon that served as the Provincial Championship as well as a Triathlon Canada qualifying race.
As always, a BIG “Thank You” goes out to everyone that volunteered over the course of the weekend. With your support, the event went off without a hitch!
A special congratulations to the nearly twenty (20) students from Twin Lakes Secondary School in Orillia. The Sprint Triathlon on Sunday was the “Exam” for their Grade 12 Triathlon Course. We were proud to see each of you cross the Finish Line and were grateful for your support in helping our staff with some post-event clean-up – kudos to all of you!
Even with a cooler than average spring, water temperatures hit 20C (68F) on the weekend, so look for Gravenhurst to return next year on the weekend of June 10th and 11th.
Our entire staff is looking forward to the rest of the season and we hope to see YOU at another MultiSport Canada event in 2022!
