Hosted at Centennial Beach Park in Downtown Barrie. Come enjoy the revitalized Barrie Waterfront as the Barrie Triathlon fully joins the MultiSport Canada Series.
The event also features a FULLY CLOSED Bike Course for ALL Events.

Swim Course
Enjoy the clear waters and amazing sunrise over Kempenfelt Bay
Water temperatures tend to be in the 20-23C (68F to 74F) range, so wetsuits will very likely be optional for this event.
Bike Course
All routes feature FULLY CLOSED roads along the Barrie Waterfront. The routes are Fast and Flat with wide turn-arounds at each end. This is also a favourite with spectators as they are always close to the action!
Run Course
Heads along the Waterfront Paths towards the Southshore Centre and Military Heritage Park.
Kids of Steel Maps
NOTE – All Swim Courses for Under 12 will be in hip/chest-deep water. Swim Courses for 12 and Over will be in deeper water where participants will be required to swim the entire distance. Please visit Kids of Steel Rules HERE.
6 to 7 – 50m Swim – 1.25km Bike – 400m Run
8 to 9 – 75m Swim – 2.5km Bike – 750m Run
10 to 11 – 100m Swim – 5km Bike – 1.5km Run
12 to 13 – 250 Swim – 10km Bike – 3km Run
14 to 15 – 500m Swim – 10km Bike – 3km Run

Why do I need to purchase a Triathlon Ontario Membership or One Day Fee during registration?
Triathlon Ontario supports the development of safe multisport in Ontario. All participants are required to purchase a One Day Fee for an additional $8.00 OR provide a valid Triathlon Ontario Membership Number.
For Kids of Steel Events, the One Day Triathlon Ontario fees are as follows:

6-7 – $2.00

10-11 – $6.00
12-14 – $6.00
Why do I have to pay a processing fee with my registration?
Race Roster allows participants to select their desired event(s), enter personal information, and process payment. Log in to Race Roster to manage registration for your event(s), edit your email address, and set communication preferences. Registration Dates & Deadlines
Register by Sunday, July 23rd to receive a T-Shirt with the Event Logo, registrations received after Sunday, July 23rd will receive a T-Shirt with our Series Logo.
Register by Sunday, Aug 6th to receive a personalized bib with your name, registrations received after Sunday, Aug 6th will receive a non-personalized race bib.
Any Transfers or deferrals MUST be completed prior to Sunday, Aug 6th. See Registration Info HERE.
Registration closes on Thursday August 10th at 9AM. No race day registrations are offered.

Communications
The Pre-Race Notice will be sent on Monday, August 7th. It will contain important info such as water temperature, parking details, retailers in attendance, and other tips for the event.
The Final Event Notice will be sent on Thursday, August 10th by 9PM. It will contain important info such as your Bib Number, Mass Start Times and Wave Start Times.
The Post-Event Report will be published to the News Feed early in the week following the event. We will send notifications to all registered participants as well as include a social media post. A Post-Event Report will contain links to our photo galleries, results, and any other articles written about the event.
Start Details
All Give-it-A-Tri and Kids of Steel Events will feature traditional Age Group Wave Starts from the beach.
To create a Safe, Fun and Fair event, during registration for the Sprint Triathlon Events, we ask for your Projected Finishing Time. We use these times to create our Start Waves – (Fastest to Slowest). If your Projected Finishing Time was not requested for your event, we will assign bibs by Age – (Youngest to Oldest).
All Duathlon Events feature Wave Starts from the finish line. All Sprint Triathlon and Swim Bike Events will feature Wave Starts of approx. 35 participants based on Projected Finishing Time – (Fastest to Slowest) starting from the beach.
