This long time classic triathlon continues to be a popular stop on the Ontario race calendar. The added bonus of witnessing athletes race in Retro Gear is another big draw.

Jonathan McMillan of Orillia takes the prize for Best Dressed Retro.

Fresh off a pair of huge wins on the 70.3 series, Recharge With Milk Ambassador Team member Lionel Sanders, was third out of the water behind fellow Ambassador Team members, Angela Quick and Alexander Vanderlinden. In typical Sanders fashion, he grabbed control of the race with a 40:55 ride, and ran a race best 2015 to clinch the win in 1:18:26.

Lionel Sanders remains undefeated in the series this year.

St. George’s Angela Quick led the swim with a 9:48 clocking, and she continued the push the pace with the top women’s bike of 48:36. With a commanding lead, she ran a final 34:27 to take the win in 1:34:12.

2014 Bala Falls Triathlon Top 5 Women and Men Overall

Bob MacPhail (Emsdale) and Kirsten Smith (Barrie) won the Swim/Bike race.

Team Allan from Aurora won the Relay race.

RACER OF THE DAY

The Nineteen Racer of the Day won a Pipeline FS wetsuit (MSRP $300).

Some great finishes from Sunday.

We can’t condone the headphones, but we like the finish.
