Meet the Announcing Team for our Swimming, Cycling, and Running Events in Ontario.

Learn where to find us on race day, who’s giving instructions, and what to expect from start to finish.

Steve is one of the leading Endurance Sports Race Announcers, Commentators and Sports Presenters in North America. His animating and evidence-based approach is reflected in his delivery on race day. You can expect a combination of excitement and clarity on where you need to be and you can hear him within distance from the finish line at Bracebridge, Toronto Island, Wasaga Beach, and the Barrelman Niagara Falls Triathlon.

John – Founder of MultiSport Canada and Race Director for the Barrelman Niagara Falls Triathlon. You will find him at Transition 1 and Transition 2 as a contact point for athlete Q & A and you will gain an exceptional understanding of how a point-to-point race unfolds. John’s handshake at the finish line welcomes your candid feedback before and after the event.

Jason – President of MultiSport Canada and Race Director. He will be teaching participants all they need to know about start times, rules and etiquette, and course instructions so they have a safe, fair and fun event. For the rest of the day you will see him around the venue and greeting athletes at the finish line.

Carolynne – Communications Director at MultiSport Canada. You will find her at the Duathlon Start and working closely with SPORTSTATS – the timing company responsible for delivering race results. She relays information about participants and receives course updates while the race is in progress before facilitating awards for top performers.

Tony has experience in radio and voice acting. He is now largely focused on working closely with the event team, ensuring a productive and rewarding experience for all concerned: athletes, sponsors, volunteers & spectators. Tony will kick off the race season at both the Honda Waterfront Run and Rose City Welland Triathlon in June.

Frances is always ready to hype you up with great tunes and a positive outlook at events. Her career as a disc jockey for over 35 years spun her into an announcing role with MultiSport Canada and is most widely known for her incredible energy at the Lakeside Triathlon.

Teresa brings a depth of understanding to the race experience on the mic, as both a middle-of-the-pack runner, triathlete, and community supporter. Teresa’s goal is to celebrate that finish line feeling with all participants and uses her voice to help make events memorable. You can find her at Gravenhurst, K-Town, Barrie, and Toronto Island Triathlon.

Mike is the President of Smith Rogers Financial and does a lot in the community including live auctioneering. He has turned ‘pro’ with MultiSport Canada and donates all his performance fees earned back to charity. You’ll find him at the Run for Southlake and he is thrilled to be back at the Barrie Triathlon this August. He looks forward to encouraging our tri-athletics along the way, then giving them a high-5 at the finish line!

We look forward to seeing you all in 2024!
