MultiSport Canada and SickKids Foundation to Partner at Toronto Island Triathlon
MultiSport Canada (MSC) is pleased to announce that beginning this year, they will be partnering with SickKids Foundation at their Toronto Island Triathlon weekend. This event, on August 20-21, 2016, will assist the Foundation by way of athlete pledges from friends and family with the goal of raising funds for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
“The MultiSport family is happy to lend our support to this effort – the work SickKids does makes such an impact on thousands of children and families and we know our athletes will help to make sure this continues,” said John Salt, MSC president.
Athletes wishing to find out more should go to https://multisportcanada.com/torontoisland. We encourage you to create your online fundraising page today! If you raise $150 or more for SickKids, you will receive an official SickKids sport bandana. A great breathable piece that you can wear in 12 different ways from a headband and bandana to a scarf and wristband!
Additionally, MultiSport Canada will reward the top male and female fundraisers with a FREE entry to any 2016 or 2017 Recharge with Milk Series Triathlon race!
“We rely on the generous support of the community and are grateful to Multisport Canada for this initiative,” says Jade De Ciccio, Associate, Events, SickKids Foundation. “Their support, and the support of participating athletes, will help SickKids continue to provide world-class research, learning and care to our patients and their families.”
The Toronto Island Triathlon weekend offers something for all – Saturday has a Give-it -a-Tri, either individually or as a relay and on Sunday the Sprint Duathlon and Triathlon will take place, again with an option to participate on your own or with a relay team.
