Thanks to everyone who raced with us at Lakeside. It was a somewhat chilly end to the season but you all toughed it out and enjoyed yourselves out there. The Kids of Steel racers put on quite a show, along with many of Ontario’s top duathletes who laid it all on the line for Sunday’s Provincial Championship.

Saturday’s Sprint & Kids of Steel Races

Saturday’s Sprint races featured a preview of what we are sure to see again in on Sunday September 21st, at the Niagara Falls Barrelman Triathlon. Lionel Sanders, fourth last weekend at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship and Cody Beals, second last weekend at Ironman 70.3 Muskoka, battled each other for top spot in the Sprint Triathlon. Beals led the swim (9:33), then Sanders took the lead with a 27:46 ride (vs 29:25 for Beals). Sanders finished with a 16:24 run to win over Beals in 56:20.
