Important Race Day Information

Please tell your friends that there will be race day registration from 3pm-6pm on Saturday and Sunday morning at 6am from Confederation Park.
*See details on our events pricing page.

Bike Security

In order to ensure bike security every participant arriving to race site will be stopped as they are initially entering transition and they will receive two (2) bracelets. The first bracelet will be placed on the participant’s wrist and the second bracelet will be put on the participant’s bike. The two bracelets have matching numbers and in order to leave transition after the race is complete the participant must have both bracelets with the same matching number. You will be asked to show your bracelet on your wrist every time you enter transition.

Water Quality

Water Quality is Good. We are the only race series to have a Water Quality Guarantee. The Water Quality Guarantee Page has all the details.

Race Day Registration Process

In an effort to make your day go a little smoother we have put together a short video clip which highlights the process on race day. You can also read the Race Day Guide, Racking By BIB Number and Race Rules & Etiquette Guide, all of which can be found in our Athlete Resource Section of our website.

Race Day Registration

Racking by BIB number

Bikes are racked by BIB Number. The BIB numbers are assigned by age and gender so for most athletes that means you will be racked with people in your age group and gender. If you are new to our races, please read the section in our Athlete Resource Library on Racking Your Bike

My Sports Shooter

mysportsshooter.comYour photos are FREE and paid for by MultiSport Canada!  All images taken during the regular season events (with the exception of the Barrelman), will be FREE for you to share, tag and download directly from Facebook!  There will be no more external galleries, indexing or photo sales from the events and instead you will be able to access the photos shortly after the race directly from the MultiSport Facebook Page!
We will be organizing the galleries as conveniently as possible using time references, sections (swim, bike, run, candid, podium) and locations.  We will be bringing back a full customized image from your podium win that will include all the race statistics.  These images will be in the Facebook Gallery as well!
We hope this new service will bring a new level of enjoyment to your entire race experience!
Yours Sincerely for a 13th Year!

Important Information regarding the La Salle Causeway Bridge

The bike course for crosses the metal La Salle Causeway bridge about a kilometre into the bike course.

During the race, the bridge will be restricted to one lane for motor vehicles (north lane) and one lane for cyclists (south lane).

We recommend all athletes slow down when crossing the bridge. Do not change gears, peddle or brake as doing any of these may reduce your traction on the metal grate surface. You are advised to coast across the entire bridge.

Be forewarned that lift bridge may go up this morning to allow passage of boat traffic.

In the event that the BRIDGE IS UP, please follow these instructions:

  1. Race to the point at which volunteers are recording race numbers. They will record the time at which you stop.
  2. Make sure the volunteer is able to see your bib number.
  3. When the bridge goes back down, volunteers will record your start time.
  4. The time stopped will be subtracted from your race time after you complete the bike course.

In the event of RAIN,

If the roadway and pavement are wet it will be MANDATORY that you STOP AND WALK your bike across the lift bridge or use the sidewalk, otherwise YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Volunteers at the bridge have been instructed to tell you to walk across the bridge or the sidewalk. You are urged to use extreme caution when crossing the bridge. Under wet conditions continuing across the metal bridge at race speed is extremely dangerous and could result in a fall and serious injury.

Remember that you are sharing the roadway with vehicular traffic so be safe and ride carefully.
