C3 – OLD SCHOOL RACES
Looking for an outdoor triathlon in 2020? MultiSport Canada is happy to share the news that long time triathlon coach Barrie Shepley and the C3 (Canadian Cross Training Club) have created a very unique training opportunity at their private venue in Caledon. Over the course of seven (7) weeks (July 8th – Sept 13th) their team will be hosting Sprint, Olympic and Long Course Triathlons, Duathlons and Aqua Bike Races. C3 has been able to organize small group (2-8 person) triathlons that are spaced apart to ensure safe-social distancing. the C3 team will be running races on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings over the (7) seven weeks. By the end of each week, you will see how your race results stacked up. There will also be weekly prizing and summer series awards.
There is no doubt that this will be a completely different experience than what you would get from a 1,000+ person MultiSport Canada event. But, unlike virtual reality events, this event will have a real swim, a real bike, a real run and a real finishing time. With swag, race awards, race pictures and enthusiastic volunteers, this event will allow you to participate in a REAL triathlon in 2020.
Barrie and his team, specifically put a Long Course (2km – 55km – 15km) race in mid-September to give those Barrelman Racers a chance to finish the summer. Take a look at the C3 website at www.c3online.ca and check out the inspiring work that Barrie and his team have put together.
