2026 Wasaga Beach Tri and Du Post Race Report

Congratulations to everyone who enjoyed a perfect day to Swim – Bike – Run and Relax with us this past Saturday in Wasaga Beach!

We were thrilled to host the Sprint Triathlon as a National Team Qualifier for 2027. We saw strong performances from Ryan Power and Miranda Tomenson, who took the male and female titles, respectively.

Our Olympic Distance triathletes started by tackling some wavy conditions that developed right before the start. In the Men’s race, Nicholas Lambert and Steve Good were only separated by 33 seconds across the Finish Line, with Paul Bregin rounding out the overall podium. In the Women’s race, Irina Metelyuk was 1st overall with a duel between Kieva Earle and Andrea Lilley for 2nd and 3rd.

We would also like to thank those folks in the late waves of the Olympic who opted for a slightly modified Swim Course. Your positive, but safety-first, attitude was the right call.

At the end of the day, over 1100+ participants enjoyed the new Wasaga Beach Site, filling it with fantastic energy and making for a truly memorable day.

It is hard to believe that the summer is drawing to a close with just our Lakeside and Niagara Falls Barrelman events remaining.
