2026 Lakeside Tri and Du Post Race Report
Congratulations to all participants who joined us in the last stop in the MultiSport Triathlon Series at Lakeside!
From all the staff at MultiSport Canada, we were thrilled to welcome participants of all ages to the 23rd Lakeside Triathlon, Duathlon and Kids of Steel.
We could not have asked for better racing conditions on Saturday for the Sprint and Kids of Steel Events as they enjoyed a warm late-summer’s day in Lakeside.
On Sunday morning, the fog lifted just in time for the start of the Olympic Triathlon and International Duathlon as they challenged those “Happy Hills” over the final 10km of the iconic single-loop bike course.
By midday, clear skies welcomed our Give-It-A-Tri participants, with many racing in their first-ever Triathlon at this rural gem in the Township of Zorra.
A ‘BIG’ Thank You to the Wade Family at Lakeside Resort for hosting the event, as well as Patti and Geoff Wallace from Northern Star Equestrian Farm for hosting the parking. We are very thankful for the volunteer support from various schools, the Woodstock Triathlon Club, and Balance Point Triathlon, who always contribute to the success of the event.
We hope you enjoyed your season with the MultiSport Canada Triathlon Series as much as we did.
Registration for the 2027 Tri Series opens in early fall. We will be announcing the official date on our website after the Niagara Falls Barrelman Triathlon, which is coming up this weekend.
We would also like to thank everyone who participated in three or more races with us for MSC Triathlon Series Points. Updates are currently in progress HERE, and we expect to have the 2026 Triathlon Series Award Winners announced by the end of October on our News Feed. If you are interested in racing more with us next year, HERE is the information on how you can be eligible for an award.
Congratulations to everyone for a successful season, and we look forward to seeing even more personal bests from you in 2027.

Qualifying Information and Next Steps
For those of you who submitted an Expression of Interest for the Standard (International) Distance Duathlon, you can expect to hear about your eligibility from Triathlon Canada 30 days following the event. Please note, the Age Groups on race day featured 10 Year Age Groups due to the capacity of the event. Triathlon Canada will be contacting qualified participants in 5 Year Age Groups, based on your age as of Dec 31st, 2027. Best of luck to those who are looking to represent Canada at the 2027 MultiSport World Championships in Edmonton, AB.
