Run – 5km

bracebridge_sprint_du_5kmThe Duathlon Start is in under the Finish Line.

After the start you will veer LEFT to run on the grass with the tree line on your right. There is a slight uphill here as you run towards Santa’s Vilage Rd. You will exit Annie Williams Park through the gate which is a small secondary park entrance/exit. Once you reach the road you will TURN RIGHT and run in the coned lane with the cones on your left until you reach Wellington St. S. At Wellington you will TURN RIGHT running in the coned lane, across the bridge until you reach Beaumont Dr where you will TURN RIGHT. This is approximately the 800m point in the run. You will then cross to the LEFT SIDE of Beaumont Dr. so that you are running FACING TRAFFIC.

Once on Beaumont you will run to the Turnaround located at 2.5km. After the Turnaround you will retrace you steps back to the race site. The course is relatively flat as it hugs the Muskoka River.

There is a gentle climb back as you cross the bridge to the North side of the Muskoka River on the return route. When you enter the race site, after the LEFT TURN off of Santa’s Village Rd, you will be going through the small gate into Annie Williams Park, running down the hill to the back of Transition and making a LEFT into the Transition Area.

There will be an Aid Station at 2.5km serving Water and F2C HYDRA-DURANCE™ – click HERE for more information on F2C HYDRA-DURANCE™
