The Swim Course is now a SINGLE LOOP in the Muskoka River.  The Swim Course begins at the main dock in Annie Williams Park.  Swimmers will start in Bib Number order (Youngest to Oldest) on Five second intervals.

Athletes will swim down-river (with the current) for the first 710m, turn left and swim 30m across the river, left again and swim 730m up-river (against the current) and then left once more and swim across the river for 30m to complete the first loop.

Average water temperature this time of year is in/around 24C or  76F.

Bike – 40km (2 x 20km laps)

Out and back Bike Course

0 to 10km

You will exit Transition to the Mount line located on the paved path within Annie Williams Park. There is a section of approximately 100m within the park that is a NO PASSING section. Please respect the fact that passing in this section could be dangerous. You do not know the bike handling skills of other cyclists. Once you get to the entrance to Annie Williams Park you will be directed to turn LEFT onto Santa’s Village Road.

The course heads west out of Bracebridge on Santa’s Village Road/Golden Beach Road with the 10km Turnaround prior to reaching Muskoka Rd 118. There are several residences on this section of the course so ride with care. This section of the course features rolling terrain on winding roads.

10km back to the park

After the Turnaround you will follow the same route back to Annie Williams Park. There are several residences on this section of the course so ride with care.

You will then repeat the bike course for a 2nd lap.

Run – 10km

The course exits from the back of Transition and immediately turns LEFT to run on the grass with the tree line on your right. There is a slight uphill here as you run towards Santa’s Village Rd. The course exits Annie Williams Park through the gate which is a small secondary park entrance/exit. Once you reach the road you will TURN RIGHT and run along the sidewalk until you reach Wellington St. S. At Wellington you will TURN RIGHT and run in a coned lane, across the bridge crossing the Muskoka River until you reach Beaumont Dr where you will TURN RIGHT. This is approximately the 800m point in the run. The course runs on the Right (North) side of Beaumont for 100m and then you will cross to the LEFT SIDE of Beaumont Dr. under Police direction so that you are now running FACING TRAFFIC.

Beaumont is a winding road so please stay to the left and be aware that there are vehicles on the course. You will run along Beaumont until the turn-around point at 5km, just past Stephens Bay Rd.

The course is out and back so all of the previous descriptions remain the same but in reverse order.

There will be Aid Stations at 1.5km, 3km, 4.5, 5.5km, 7km & 8.5km serving Water and F2C HYDRA-DURANCE™ – click HERE for more information on F2C HYDRA-DURANCE™
