#BarrelmanTri – Registrations continue to come in and we’ve surpassed our registration levels from our inaugural 2014 year. But we want more of you to come and join us to make Ontario’s Triathlon Event of the Year even better.

Register by midnight on Saturday September 10 to beat the final price increase and before September 8th to ensure you have your name printed on your bib for the Skechers Performance Barrelman Triathlon.

This year’s race features the new Creemore Springs Beer Garden and the Vieni Estates Wine and Spirits Wine Garden so you can celebrate post race with your fellow racers, family and friends. All registered athletes may also look forward to a special gift from Creemore Springs Brewery in their race kit.

How To Balance Triathlon Training With Parenting and Work Like A Pro

I’d like to share with those interested some tips and tricks on how I have found it works to balance parenting, training for triathlons, and working full time!

The sport of triathlon rewards those that train some combination of the smartest, the hardest and the most, with the first point likely the most important of the three….SMARTEST. Having just one or two of those three will not be enough! You have to find the right balance, and this is something that I’d like to share with you now.

I have two sons aged 7 and 12 and also work full time in the financial services industry.  The one thing that I am lucky to have in my life is a wife who stays home and makes sure the kids get off to school every day. If I didn’t have that and we both worked, my story would likely be quite a bit different. Read more

Lionel Sanders, C3 and Recharge With Milk Triathlon Series Ambassador Team athlete, will be in the deepest, biggest field of his young triathlon career.  After an undefeated amateur season last year, Lionel did his first pro race in Muskoka last Sept where he won the overall race beating Andreas Raelert (one of the top Ironman athletes in the world).

Mont Tremblant Training Camp with Ignition Fitness

Join Ignition Fitness on Friday, May 30th – Sunday, June 1st for their triathlon training camp in beautiful Mont Tremblant, Quebec.

This camp is perfect for any athlete of any ability that is either training for an Ironman or 70.3 event in Tremblant, or anyone training for any other ironman-distance or 70.3-distance event. Our coaches will be on site and will be there to swim, bike and run by your side. They’ll be there to offer you one-on-one tips, advice, support and instruction throughout the weekend. We’ll also be spending a couple of hours on both Friday and Saturday evenings discussing long course-specific and Tremblant-specific racing and nutritional strategies. Included in the camp fee is dinner on Saturday night and a souvenir tshirt!
