Suffering any triathlon withdrawals?

We hope you are enjoying your off-season activities so far, especially with the beautiful weather conditions we’ve experienced. For some of you though, the triathlon season did not end and you are still going strong.

One of those athletes is Jim Sunners. He recently competed at the Ironman World Championship and had a great day. We bring you his story in this issue. The Niagara Falls native will race at our inaugural Niagara Falls Half Iron Triathlon and registration is currently open for that new and exciting event.

Thanks for an awesome 2013 Season!

Sadly our 2013 season has come to end.  Thanks to all of you who came out and supported our Series whether it be as a racer, volunteer, or sponsor.

While you can wind down for a bit and take a break until the start of the next season, we will be hard at work preparing for 2014 to make sure we continue to deliver the best customer experience to you.

We may not see you face to face over the next few months but you can stay in contact with us through these monthly newsletters. We will use them to keep you updated on all the Series news, and provide you with sponsor deals, training articles to get you primed for 2014, profiles about some of your fellow athletes, and let you know of any training opportunities you can take advantage of.

It’s hard to believe and it is sad to say but the summer is almost over.

The good upside though is that we still have races at Bracebridge (August 10 & 11), Toronto Island (August 24 & 25), Wasaga Beach (September 7 & 8), and Lakeside (September 14 & 15). We hope you’ll choose to join us and make the most of what’s left in the race season.

It is heating up!

Summer has taken its time to arrive but the weather is heating up just as we head into the busiest part of our race schedule – we’ve got races during every weekend in July.

We got our real taste of the heat at Welland, and that trend look like it will continue this coming weekend in at our Huronia Triathlon and Duathlon in Midland. The race boasts a beautiful waterfront setting, a fun bike ride, and a run on the Rotary Trail. If you have no race plans, please consider joining us.

Of course with the increased heat and humidity, you need to be mindful of your hydration and recovery. Take care of yourselves out there while training and racing. Enjoy the July issue as you gear up to meet all of your summer triathlon and duathlon goals.

Heading into the heart of the season?

We had a great 12th season kick off race at Woodstock and the month of June will be a busy one with races at Binbrook and at the Welland Triathlon Weekend featuring the Welland Half Iron – site of the 2013 Ontario Long Course Championship.

We hope you like our new website, and the other new additions including the race kit bags from Adult Essentials Gummies, Headsweats hats, the cool new race t-shirts from Apres Velo, and how about the new podium and run course signs courtesy of Recharge With Milk? Gearing up for our best season ever!

You’ve been busy training for the upcoming season – just two months away, and we’ve been working hard to make sure that the 2013 season is our best yet.

This April edition of the newsletter features some exciting Series announcements such as Recharge With Milk extending its sponsorship to 2016, new race kit bags by Adult Essentials Gummies, and KINeSYS Performance Sunscreen coming on board. And those are just a few of the new developments in 2013.

Ignition Fitness is back with the MSCtv series and the first video for this year – Woodstock Triathlon & Duathlon, prepares you for the Series kick off race on Sunday May 26.

Countdown to the 2013 Season Begins!

The season is less than 3 months away and already we have more people registered in our races at this time of year than ever before. Make sure that you take a look at our race schedule and pick your races fast to ensure that you do not miss out. There is lots to be excited about with even more things to come in between now and the start of the season on May 26 at Woodstock.

The February Push

If you haven’t started back on some sort of regular training routine then its time to get started. In just four months, our season gets going at Woodstock on May 26th! That is not too far away and with the new one day format and shortened race distances, you’ll want to be ready to go because everyone will be hammering away for sure. By the time you read this, registration will be open. So have your season planned out to take advantage of the Multi Race Discount which is back for 2013.
