Welcome to 2008!
As we enter our seventh year we are still committed to making every race one that you enjoy. We have taken a look at your comments from our post-race online surveys and made changes to races in Gravenhurst and Wasaga Beach that we are sure you will be pleased with.
We are happy to announce the addition of a Half Iron Distance race back into the schedule. The Bracebridge Half Iron Distance Triathlon and Duathlon will be held on August 10. This is will be a challenging and fun race for those who aspire to compete at this disatance or a perfect race as a tune-up to a fall 70.3 or Ironman event. Back are favourite races in Bala Falls, Toronoto and Gravenhurst. Last year all three races sold out so you may want to consider entering these races early so you are not disappointed. Gravenhurst will once again be the site of the OAT Club Championships with all races that weekend counting towards the Club Championship points total. Olympic Distance Triathlon and International Distance Duathlon are back in Gravenhurst and Cobourg.
The Season Long Draw is back again and we anticipate that the prize total will be in the area of $15,00 by season end. Mike Cheliak's finishers picture awards are still a big hit and our top athletes will be receiving a personalized finishers picture and medal at every race. This year we will be holding off-season seminars with guest speakers to help athletes get ready for race season. If you have participated in one of our races we hope you enjoyed the experience. If you haven’t been to an HSBC Triathlon Series/MultiSport Canada race we hope that we see you in 2008. Here are some of the exciting changes and additions for 2008.
