Katie is equal parts triathlete and young professional, balancing the demands of triathlon training with a career as an Environmental Engineer.
Her first foray into the sport was with Queen’s Triathlon Club, which she joined for fitness, swearing there was “no way she would ever do a race”. Spoiler alert, she tried out a race, and has been hooked on the sport ever since. Katie loves training with her teammates at Loaring Personal Coaching, and making memories training and racing with friends, teammates, and competitors.
Career highlights include setting the course record on route to winning the Kincardine Women’s Triathlon in 2015, qualifying for and racing the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in South Africa in 2018, and finishing as the first female and third overall at the Thousand Islands Triathlon in 2018.
